Real trees smell amazing but the needles fall constantly. Having the tree in the kitchen is a great way to easily clean up those needles.    Another great place is the living room. The living room in the Great Falls floor plan is spacious for an apartment home. It is also right next to the beautiful patio door. Having the tree near the patio window will allow the magical lights to be enjoyed by all of your neighbors.

How to Make This Winter The Best One Yet!    Winter is one of the BEST seasons here in Idaho! If you are an avid snowboarder or avid snowman builder, you are most likely all ready for this winter! However, it is no secret that when the day shortens and the snow blows in, people may experience a dash of winter blues every so often. As some of us may have experienced, we may feel different than we do in Summer when the sun is out until 10 pm! All of a sudden we go from being outside all the time to staying indoors. Fortunately, there are ways for us to combat these winter blues and make the winter as much fun as the summer! Here are a few tips that can make this winter the best one yet! Get outside at least ONCE a day.   This can be hard when its winter. Its cold, icy and we want to be snuggled under our blankets, but it is extremely important to get outside every day! If you make an effort to go outside you will notice that your mood may improve, you will get a daily dose of vitamin D, and may even boost your metabolism.  Make Plans With Friends! Making plans can help you get out of the house! You can find plenty of activities that are inside away from the snow, OR you can even find some fun outdoor activities to do as well. If you haven't tried snowshoeing you will have to try it! There are so many trails around the Mesa Falls Waterfall to snowshoe.  Stay Hydrated. Just because you are not sweating doesn't mean you don't need to drink water. Its extremely important to pay attention to how much water you're drinking. As it becomes colder, we don't pay a whole lot of attention to drinking a ton of water which actually makes it more likely for us to become dehydrated. Remember to drink your water! Find a Winter Hobby   Find a Winter Hobby! Winter hobbies do not have to be outside hobbies, they can also be inside hobbies! Hobbies are so important to help you feel happier, build confidence and reduce stress! They are especially great in winter when you are feeling a little sluggish. Maintain your Physical Health Maintaining your physical health is extremely important. This not only helps you feel happier and elevates your mood. Organizing Your Rexburg Apartment Pantry!-image

Organizing Your Rexburg Apartment Pantry!    I think everyone’s ideal goal to live their best life is organization. Keeping your space neat & organized, helps your space feel more like a home. The one thing that tends to get the most unorganized is the pantry! Here are a few ways to optimize your pantry & stay organized.   (Featured image from Mesa Falls)   Small Spaces Can Still Mean More Room   When renting, finding the perfect pantry space isn’t always easy. A key factor to creating this organization is imagining what could be used as an additional space if there is lack thereof. Say you have a washer & dryer room that is connected to your kitchen & not much cabinet space. Save the cabinet space for your pans, dishes, & cutlery. Create your own pantry space by adding a shelving unit that fits in a space you desire. Adding this will help create the even balance of optimizing as much space as possible without overcrowding your kitchen. Another great thing is hanging plants, pots, or utensils instead of resting them on countertops. By using a renter friendly hanging device, you will be able to keep your cooking area cleared & within reach.    (Featured image from Ksmartstyling.com)   Double The Size of Your Pantry   Say when you put the oreos in the pantry & it just does not give the appeal you were looking for. Well, Khloe Kardashian had an iconic way of taking her organizing to new heights. Take a clear jar or vacuum seal container & organize your cookies in a beautiful stacked array to showcase in your pantry. Now some people would probably say that making a display pantry isn’t their number one priority. However, this just adds to the ambiance of creating a clutter free space! Take it to the next level by organizing with clear acrylic containers. Section off your pre-packaged snacks in the way that makes the most sense to your needs. For example, keeping oatmeal packets with the granola bars for a breakfast section. Or, keeping your chips & crackers together; however you would like to spice up your containers!  Condensing Is Key to Formality!   If you noticed, the main ingredient to creating this ideal space is by taking all the key components that add to your pantry, snacks, & drinks. Just remember, condense & create a home for all of your things. Including the items that live in your pantry!

Apartment Style Living Here At Mesa Falls - Gardening Addition-image

There are a couple of things to think about when living in an apartment; What kind of deal will I be receiving by renting this apartment? What is the rental criteria? How much is the security deposit? One thing a few of us may ask is, where can I start a garden?   Living in an apartment can have green thumb perks too! Apartment gardens can be as exciting as having a home garden with just these few tips to get you started. We have already done the research for you. So here’s how you can utilize your balcony space & fill your heart with all the leaves, flowers, herbs, & all you desire. ( (Featured Image from Mesafalls.com)   Decipher Your Lighting   The number one thing you want to scope out is light. Of course, it goes without being said that your plants will need some sunshine to thrive on your balcony. However, plants do have their own requirements for the amount of sun they need. By finding which part of your patio gets great lighting, you’ll be able to distinguish where you can arrange & organize your plants.  By determining what kind of garden you are wishing to accomplish, you will then be able to highlight the focal points.    Where Will Your Plants Go?   The next thing to think about is where you will be putting your plants. Since many balconies are enclosed, or higher than ground level, there’s only a couple of ways to inhabit your plants. First, the usual ‘Go-to’ method is decorative or terracotta pots. This is a great way to keep your plants happy & enjoy their view. However, another way would be a raised garden bed. If you are looking to create an herb garden, this is a great place to start. Having a raised garden bed allows the plants to be in one box collectively, optimize your time watering, & help keep a space for you to bask in their glory. If you are looking for more of the floral aspect of a garden, railing baskets are enjoyable for not only you but the neighborhood as well. These baskets are easy to install since they hang over the railings & a lot of the time you can purchase adjustable one’s from many gardening sections of the stores. To ensure no damage to your patio, be sure, whichever planters you decide to use, have proper draining ports.  Protecting Plants Against Rexburg Winds   We know how Rexburg winds can be during the springtime. To better protect your plants, invest in some bamboo skewers. When planting, adding bamboo skewers next to the stalk of the plant will help avoid their breakage. Simply plant your skewer, tie with soft but sturdy rope (some people cut & use cotton cloth) around the stalk of the plant to the highest point of the plant. This will help better protect your plants from being carried off with the wind. That would be the last thing we would want.   Just Plant & Enjoy Your Rexburg Apartment Balcony   All of these are non-invasive, renter friendly, ideas to help you enjoy your balcony & plants all summer long. No need to be upset about not having an in-ground garden. Utilize your green thumb powers & have the best apartment balcony in Rexburg, ID!

What Your Leasing Agent Wants You to Ask on Tour-image

Getting into a new apartment can be stressful. There are so many options in the area, and they all have different policies and regulations and amenities and fees. All of these things can be difficult to navigate.  As leasing agents, we strive to provide you with the best possible transition experience. That is why we have a model apartment always open and available for tours. Tours open a space for you to ask in-person questions and achieve understanding. We want to make that space as effective as possible.  So, what are the questions your leasing agent wants you to ask on tour? Well, let’s talk about that.   1. How does maintenance work here?   The maintenance personal are essential for an apartment complex to function. Often, it is never explained to tenants how they can contact the maintenance technicians, how they submit maintenance requests, or whether they need to pay for maintenance assistance. Some apartments will charge you for every maintenance request. Others require that you submit requests only online. You need to know how to get the help that you need. So, ask.   Our maintenance staff here at Mesa Falls are available 24/7. They strive every day to establish a reputation for completing your needs promptly. 2. What utilities are included? This one seems obvious, but many visitors forget to ask and then come into the office on their move-in day and can’t get their keys because they haven’t set up their gas or electric accounts. Ask what you are responsible for as a tenant. Ask what is included in your rent. Ask what the average price for those utilities is per month. Then remember to call the relevant parties and get those account numbers.   Gas and electricity are the only utilities that residents pay here at Mesa Falls. 3. What are the fees that I need to be aware of? Have you ever been in a situation where you forgot to read the fine print and now you owe someone more money than you thought you did? No one likes to be in that situation. That is a miserable situation. Don’t get sideswiped! Ask for detailed information on the fees through the application and move-in day. Believe me, you won’t regret asking money questions.   We do our best to be completely open and honest with our customers and residents about our fees. Our fees are listed on the online application forms. If you want more information, give us a call. 4. What are the pet policies?  Even if your pet is an ESA and you know that they should be allowed in the apartment with you, there are still policies. Apartment complexes always have pet policies and requirements for pets. Ask for details about what is allowed and what is required. Also, ask about whether or not your pet needs a leash when walking the property. No one wants to go through the process of getting an apartment just to find out last second that Fluffy is not allowed in the apartment. Protect Fluffy. Ask the question.   Our pet policy can be found on our website. We welcome both dogs and cats with some breed restrictions for dogs. 5. Where can I go to write a review? "Because you were so great and you answered all of my questions and I just loved being here and taking this tour! I want to tell all my friends and let them know how beautiful this apartment is!"   Ok so maybe this one is a little biased but as leasing agents we want you to find a beautiful, wonderful place to live. Everyone deserves to be somewhere they feel at home. It’s our job to help you find that place.
