If you spend time walking around the community, heading to your car, or simply looking out your window, there is a good chance you may spot them. The hawks can often be seen flying low around the property, gliding through the air with ease. They are hard to miss, especially when you hear their calls echoing across the community. Their presence adds a little excitement and a touch of nature to everyday life.
The pair seem to have picked a favorite spot on the property. They have made their home in a pine tree located near the garages, returning to the same area for the second year in a row. Residents have also noticed another favorite place they like to spend time: perched high on top of a telephone pole, keeping watch over everything below. From up there, they seem to have the perfect view of the community.
It has been fun seeing residents point them out and share stories of spotting them around the property. There is something special about having wildlife become part of our community atmosphere. Even in the middle of busy schedules and everyday routines, these hawks give us a reminder to look up and enjoy the small moments around us.
Keep an eye out next time you're around Mesa Falls and our returning feathered residents may just fly by and say hello!
