What Your Leasing Agent Wants You to Ask on Tour-image

Getting into a new apartment can be stressful. There are so many options in the area, and they all have different policies and regulations and amenities and fees. All of these things can be difficult to navigate.  As leasing agents, we strive to provide you with the best possible transition experience. That is why we have a model apartment always open and available for tours. Tours open a space for you to ask in-person questions and achieve understanding. We want to make that space as effective as possible.  So, what are the questions your leasing agent wants you to ask on tour? Well, let’s talk about that.   1. How does maintenance work here?   The maintenance personal are essential for an apartment complex to function. Often, it is never explained to tenants how they can contact the maintenance technicians, how they submit maintenance requests, or whether they need to pay for maintenance assistance. Some apartments will charge you for every maintenance request. Others require that you submit requests only online. You need to know how to get the help that you need. So, ask.   Our maintenance staff here at Mesa Falls are available 24/7. They strive every day to establish a reputation for completing your needs promptly. 2. What utilities are included? This one seems obvious, but many visitors forget to ask and then come into the office on their move-in day and can’t get their keys because they haven’t set up their gas or electric accounts. Ask what you are responsible for as a tenant. Ask what is included in your rent. Ask what the average price for those utilities is per month. Then remember to call the relevant parties and get those account numbers.   Gas and electricity are the only utilities that residents pay here at Mesa Falls. 3. What are the fees that I need to be aware of? Have you ever been in a situation where you forgot to read the fine print and now you owe someone more money than you thought you did? No one likes to be in that situation. That is a miserable situation. Don’t get sideswiped! Ask for detailed information on the fees through the application and move-in day. Believe me, you won’t regret asking money questions.   We do our best to be completely open and honest with our customers and residents about our fees. Our fees are listed on the online application forms. If you want more information, give us a call. 4. What are the pet policies?  Even if your pet is an ESA and you know that they should be allowed in the apartment with you, there are still policies. Apartment complexes always have pet policies and requirements for pets. Ask for details about what is allowed and what is required. Also, ask about whether or not your pet needs a leash when walking the property. No one wants to go through the process of getting an apartment just to find out last second that Fluffy is not allowed in the apartment. Protect Fluffy. Ask the question.   Our pet policy can be found on our website. We welcome both dogs and cats with some breed restrictions for dogs. 5. Where can I go to write a review? "Because you were so great and you answered all of my questions and I just loved being here and taking this tour! I want to tell all my friends and let them know how beautiful this apartment is!"   Ok so maybe this one is a little biased but as leasing agents we want you to find a beautiful, wonderful place to live. Everyone deserves to be somewhere they feel at home. It’s our job to help you find that place.

Mesa Falls Floor Plans Perks-image

Choosing the right apartment community is no small feat. However, even after you've chosen Mesa Falls Apartments, you still have to make some more major decisions. For starters, what floor plan catches your eye the most? If you're flexible, it can be challenging to choose the perfect floor plan for you. Here are the best perks about each floor plan we have. Private Falls  1 bedroom, 1 bathroom 690 SQ FT The Private Falls unit is our only 1-bedroom unit, so that alone is a perk itself. When walking into the Private Falls unit, you'll see a spacious living room alongside a coat closet. The balcony in this floor plan is also slightly longer than some of our other larger floor plans. The major benefit of leasing a Private Falls unit in the bedroom. The Private Falls bedroom holds the title of the largest bedroom in the complex. King, California King, and Queen sized beds all fit extremely comfortably in this room. This room also has a walk-in closet, and the bathroom is connected to the bedroom, so you won't have to leave your room to use the bathroom in the middle of the night. Great Falls  2 bedroom, 1 bathroom 890 SQ FT Onto the next floor plan! The Great Falls unit is one of our most popular floor plans due to its layout. This floor plan features a spacious kitchen with an extended countertop for bar space and more than enough room to prepare and cook food. If you value having a separate, spacious dining space to host, this is the floor plan for you. The Great Falls unit only gets better as you keep walking through it. A hidden gem of the Great Falls unit is its extra storage and pantry space. This unit comes with two separate designated spaces for laundry and storage items.  Bravura Falls 2 bedroom, 2 bathrooms 890 SQ FT The Bravura Falls unit is very similar to the Great Falls unit in a lot of ways, but the differences that set it apart make a major impact. The Bravura Falls unit has TWO bathrooms, one of which is directly connected to the first bedroom. These bathrooms can make a huge difference to renters. The living room is about the same spacious size as the Great Falls. It also has even more cabinet storage space than the Great Falls floor plan does. The Bravura also has a coat closet which is extremely convenient. As always, it comes with a balcony and/or patio. Luxury Falls 2 bedroom, 2 bathrooms 1100 SQ FT Our Luxury Falls floor plan is nothing short of its name - it's luxury living. This unit comes with a fireplace and an oversized living room. Not only does this unit come with an oversized living room; it comes with an oversized refrigerator and bathroom counter and storage space. The Luxury unit also has a coat closet, separate laundry room, and three large windows in the living room. The first bedroom suite has a huge walk-in closet with multiple shelves and it also contains three windows, similar to the living room, so there's always a lot of natural light. Grand Falls 3 bedroom, 2 bathrooms 1100 SQ FT Last but not least, we have the Grand Falls unit. This unit is just as large as the Luxury Falls unit, but its third bedroom makes it special. This floor plan comes with three bedrooms, two bathrooms, and separate dining space.  This unit still has a comfortable living room, oversized balcony, and a cozy bedroom suite. It has a separate laundry room, great for storage space. It also has the largest kitchen out of all the floor plans, and each of the bedrooms has at least one window. Which Floor Plan Is Calling Your Name? Ultimately, the choice is yours! Each floor plan has its ups and downs, but at Mesa Falls Apartments, we try to make sure it’s as perfect as possible for you before you move-in. Which floor plan is your favorite and why? First-Time Renters Guide-image

House hunting is commonly talked about in the media through reality TV, knowing loved ones on the search for a home, or seeing friends find their ideal home on social media. Although house hunting is often referenced through the media, apartment hunting is less glorified.  Apartment hunting in Rexburg can be as exciting as house hunting, especially for first-time renters. For many first-time renters, it's difficult to pinpoint what to look for in an apartment. Some features that bear little to no meaning to one renter may be exactly what another renter has been searching for ages for. Our Leasing Team has come up with five helpful renting tips for first-time renters looking for community or married housing in Rexburg, Idaho. Tips On Finding Your Best Apartment Match Do Your Research Before applying for the first apartment community in Rexburg that pops up on Google, it's important to do research. Some of the best resources for apartment research are the apartment's official website, marketing platforms, and social media channels. Rexburg apartment complex websites usually include their amenities , interior, and exterior features, rent pricing , application costs, and other helpful policies. The website will give you a lot of information about the community's rules and business hours as well. One of the best parts about apartment websites is the number of pictures they usually have, so you can see exactly what you'd be signing up for if you rent a unit there. One of the newer forms of Rexburg apartment community research includes deep diving into their social media channels like Instagram , Facebook , YouTube , and more. Additionally, ILS marketing platforms like Zumper, Zillow, Craigslist, and Apartments.com are all other useful social media outlets to check out. Looking at a complex's community through social media will help you get to know the apartment complex's management style. Not to mention, the channels will help you determine whether or not the complex will be a good fit for your own personality. Look at Reviews When trying to find the best apartment complex in Rexburg, it’s worth your time to look through their Google , Yelp, and website reviews . Reviews are a direct reflection of how the apartment community feels about the complex. When looking at reviews, it's important to focus on more than just the overall rating. For instance, a Rexburg apartment community may have a low rating, but if you sort the reviews by their most recent and see a number of positive reviews about the complex, there's likely a reason behind that. Perhaps, the complex underwent new management or began focusing more on customer service. Regardless, we'd encourage you to focus on the most recent reviews considering that is a representation of what the complex's current state is.  When it comes to reviews, be sure to read through the lines and follow your instincts about the complex. Everyone's experience is different, be sure to focus on what your experience could be like based on what you read from the residents themselves. Schedule a Tour After doing your research, don't miss out on a tour of the Rexburg complexes you're interested in! These days, most established apartment communities offer, both, virtual and in-person tours so there are multiple ways for you to see the complex in its fullness. Scheduling a tour will save you from playing the guessing game on what your unit and apartment community will look like and feature. Tours can be especially helpful if you're on the fence about applying somewhere. Often, the leasing professional showing you around the complex will offer you special insights on the property that may be just a little harder to find elsewhere. Additionally, the team can also answer any questions you have while on the tour, so it will likely save you time in the long run. Some leasing offices, like Mesa Falls Apartments , will also give you complimentary treats, so it's a win-win situation for everyone involved. Create a Pros & Cons List The last tool to use when touring at different complexes is to create a Pros & Cons list. We're all familiar with these lists. In some instances, they can be useful and in others, they may seem like a waste of time. We can assure you those writing pros and cons lists while apartment hunting is highly necessary.  After a day of touring multiple complexes, the details can get blurred. You may find yourself wondering, "Did Mesa Falls Apartments have that basketball court? Or was that another complex we looked at?" At the moment, you may doubt you'd mix complexes up, but by the end of the day, it's hard for anyone to distinguish every pro and con each complex had from another. A pros and cons list will help you rank the complexes and see if the benefits outweigh the negatives of the complex you like the most. This list is an apartment hunter's best tool for success finding an apartment in Rexburg, Idaho. Think Before Leasing Before submitting an application, think about the apartment community. Did you enjoy the staff? Do you think you'll use the amenities? Did the apartment include most of the features you were looking for? After you think long and hard on if the complex meets your preferences, click 'Submit' on that application you're working on. If you followed these steps while exploring apartments, you likely won't regret it.
